You’ve heard of Spring Cleaning, but what happens when Fall brings the invasion of pumpkin spice, candy corn, and that big Thanksgiving spread? Don’t worry; the Yoga Body Shop, the area’s most innovative studio, offers an effective way to cleanse your body and gut this Fall with a juice cleanse.


What is a juice cleanse, and what are the benefits? 

A juice cleanse is done over a period of time when you replace your meals with fresh-pressed or squeezed juices. It allows your body a break from digesting typical non-liquid food sources. A juice cleanse clears your body from substances that create fatigue, indigestion, inflammation, weight issues, skin problems, and allergies. No matter how well we eat, our bodies are full of processed foods, salt, sugar, and artificial ingredients. On a juice cleanse, your body is allowed to rest and reset. While your body is resting, it is provided nutrients and vitamins needed for healthy living. A good juice cleanse is like pushing the reset button on your body. Many people experience increased energy because of a cleanse. This positive experience will energize you to keep juicing.


How long does a juice cleanse take?

There is no clear-cut answer to this popular question. A juice cleanse can vary between one or two days to five or more.

  • One to two Days helps you get back on track if you had an overindulgent weekend or after the inevitable holiday snacking.
  • Three to four days is an excellent chance for someone wanting to start a healthy lifestyle.
  • Five or more days is for the more experienced juicer who wants to overhaul their eating habits thoroughly. Extended cleanses like five or more days are long enough to detoxify, reconnect with your body’s true hunger signals, get your body feeling great, and help improve mental clarity.

It is best to start a juice cleanse for a shorter period to get your body used to what you are doing. Once you start, your body will crave the juice. It knows how to process fresh, healthy juice, and you will begin to feel healthier.


How often should you do a juice cleanse?

As we approach Fall, the big question is how often you should cleanse? There is no set rule for how often you should cleanse, and it is all up to you! If you feel your eating habits need cleansing, try a three-day juice cleanse. If you feel sluggish, bloated, or not like yourself, it may be a good indicator that you should do a cleanse. Some people do a juice cleanse every Monday to reset their bodies from the weekend. Others do a longer cleanse when the seasons change, or even once a year. The answer really depends on your unique needs, no two cleansing journeys are the same.
